It is important to add that timed local calls in OZ are particularly
disastrous
for the outback because of the distance and the small population density as
well.
This introduction of charges is occuring, because the current government
wants
to sell off telstra to private enterprise, and naturally it has to be made
as
profitable as possible to attract buyers. so whatever the mininster's
current
promises (which he has previously demonstrated are worth nothing), when it
gets
taken over Telstra will have to yield to the pressures of business.....
