Hello,
Sorry this won't be too personal nor interesting. I am trying to
construct this chapter - on Himani Bannerji's writing, in relation to
"acculturation" except that i call it "violence" or rather, she does.
Anyhow, the "structures" that cause/shape this minority experience are:
- socio-political (structures)
- historical
- capital
- colonial
- patriarchal
Would you happen to know any good definitions for the above structures?
I want to talk about them, eventually, as being part of a "system" which
IS experienced as being violent and violating. Does this make any sense??
Let me know yif you have any thoughts on this matter. I realize that
you could probably use more info. But right now, I'm searching for
some good descriptors, definitions. Can you help me?
Thanks/b.
