Please forward it to the other group.

I am a film and video maker, currently working towards an MFA at Temple
U. in Philadelphia.

I grew up in Dehra Dun, which is in the UP hills in North India. I am a
bengali and have never lived in Bengal and my Hindi is better than my
Bengali.

I went to Lady Shri Ram colege in Delhi, and got my bachelors in
Psychology. After that went to Jamia Millia and got a masters in Mass
communications and worked for film and television in India.

Most of my work has tended to be experimental and narrative in nature. My
academic interests are in the area of post-colonial studies, though I
feel unhappy with most of the things I read in the area.

Right now I am engaged in the tight rope act of balancing my academic
pursuits with my artistic ones, which means balancing my thesis film
script and experimental narrative film (that is in post-production) with
painting and post-structuralism.

Shashwati
