Hello all,

     regarding uncomfortable introductions and other foolishness: My name
is Ed Kazarian, and I am a Ph.D student in philosophy at Villanova.  My
interest in Spinoza is largely, but not entirely through Deleuze, and
is several years old (It all began w/ my undergrad thesis on Deleuze's
work in the history of phil...blah).  I am also having my interest in 
marxism revived (it has been dormant for awhile).  Thus I am on this list.
I fear that I am a bit less advance than others (i'm only finishing my
first year of coursework) but I will try to contribute when possible.  In
any case I would love to begin either with the Ethics, with which I am
more familiar, or some of the political writings of which I am rather
ignorant at this point.  So whatever seems best to others.  
    Also, since I just got on the list I would love it if someone could
send me a brief summary of what has been going on.  I would go to the
archive, but I cannot get FTP to work through my Villanova Vax account, adn
there is a bit of a Virus scare on America Online now, so I am very
reluctant to use it to FTP the archive.  
    In any case, I am looking forward to this.
