Dear All,

This is to tell you that we now have a Web board for announcements.  The board
still has a few glitches, but we encourage you to frequent it, browse through
the announcements, play with it as much as it permits, and let us know if
you have any interesting suggestions, beyond the obvious, on how we should 
improve it (to let us know of any such, write to spoons-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu).

To access the board, go to the Spoon home page:

  http://lists.village.virginia.edu/~spoons

and click on the "Web board" link under the Spoon-Announcements entry.

Eventually, we would like this board to be the primary vehicle for the kinds
of announcements that are currently distributed via the spoon-announcements
list.  When this happens, we will still maintain an e-mail list for receiving
the announcements, but we will stop the irritating habit of automatically
subscribing people to it when they subscribe to any other Spoon list.
