     A CALL FOR PAPERS

    _Critical Horizons_

_Critical Horizons_ is a new interdisciplinary journal of
Social and Critical Theory. It aims to provide a forum for the critical
analysis of contemporary issues and debates within Social Theory
regarding a range of concerns such as forms of modernity and
postmodernity, social relations, politics, identities, feminisms and
aesthetics. It also aims to engage with the variety of traditions in
critical and social theory through which these concerns are often voiced.
As a new journal it intends to bring a renewed sense of urgency and
contention to critical analysis.

_Critical Horizons_ is an annual refereed journal publishing the work of
academics and postgraduates working in the area of critical and social
theories. The inaugural issue will be published in March 1999. Papers of
approximately 6000 words should be submitted to the journal for
consideration by November 1 1998. Contributors are asked
to submit articles in triplicate hard copy and provide the
editors with an e-mail address for correspondence.
