Subject: Re: embedded sounds

Hi,

Besides the technical point of view, I have a K7 track from the France
Culture radio station in France with the voices from Jacques Herold,
Philippe Soupault, Georges Limbour, Jacques Baron, Julien Gracq, Aime Cesaire.
Although the sound is not very good, it may be used as "back ground" (I mean
little clips, here and there to given a sort of historical depth to the
exhibition.).
I can make a .wav file of one or two of them and send it to people who have
the correct equipment (sound card I mean) so that you may judge if the
quality is enough

Speaking of quality, what is the use of High Q scanning, High Q sounds
etc... being displayed, or played on low Q equipement ?
What would the production of a CD rom change about the poor quality of the
standard screens (even TV screens) and loudspeakers ?
Who could explain that to me ?

Besides, thanks to William E. Elston for being there and giving information
(at least for me it is information) and heartily welcome to him on the
talking side of this list.

*.
