Please do present your ideas on this subject, I think it would add alot 
to the discussion.

I'm not sure if it will help, but there was a very interesting magazine 
published in Brussels called Fantasmagie. Bulletin Trimestriel du 
Centre International de l'actualite Fantastique et Magique.  I have 
four issues #16, from March 1964  #17/18/19 - October 1963, #22 , March 
1966 and #30 - May, 1971. These are mainly art magazines, illustrated 
by either photo's of paintings, or drawings.  All are, or could be 
considered either Science-fiction illustration, surrealist-orientated 
paintings, PHASES-orientated paintings & drawings, or related 
potentialy to the "fantastic-realists" school of art.

I have no idea how many issues were published. I found these in Paris.
