Dubin) Subject: Danish Surrealists Frank, I totally forgot to write this, at the time you and Carlos were discussing Danish surrealists, but there were two extreamly important painters: Wilhelm Freddie, who died a short time ago, and perhaps even more important, but nearly unknown today, Knut R. Hoffmann Sonderborg. There is a catalogue (which I have never seen), from Germany, of Sonderborg and Karl-Otto Goetz, which must be amazing. I have tried to learn if Sonderborg was still alive, but the last references people I know have to him are nearly 10 years ago. He was living and painting in Germany (Hambourg, I believe), but refusing to exhibit. Hope this gives you someone to research when you get back to Denmark. If you come up with anything, please let me know Wm.
