Subject: B&H's "services"

hi all,

i think the point that needs to be made, relative to the
recent exchange between michael's b&v is this:

by refusing to continue providing michael b (hired) access to
their services, B&H has taken a position which makes it
more difficult, perhaps even more precarious for artists
and others to pursue their creative explorations.

in this country, as william has pointed out, more than one
artist, has been prosecuted for the "offensive" content of
their work, their equipment (computers, cameras, etc.)
confiscated and their liberty taken away or jeopardized due
to the allegations of moralists.

yes, we should defend the right to decline work, and
the specific repercussions of such decisions may be of minor
consequence to others (especially when compared to what
Carlos has gone thru). minor even to michael b, if these services
can be easily found elsewhere. but such decision
nevertheless clearly defines B&H as a defender of popular
morality against creative challenge.

Defines them, therefore, as an enemy of surrealists everywhere.
