I know Martin Stejskal`work because he participate at the Lisbon Surrealist show on 1984 and i have the catalogue here. So, i will drink with you. Pity it sounds to be so late, no? Hi all (but especially Barrett, William, Michael and others from USA) I just come from the "Librairie Francaise" here in Lisbon where i saw the last "Dictionary of Surrealism" organized by Jean Paul Clebert, editions Seuil, France, 1996. It seemed to me very interesting but with very lack of information about recent years (namely since the sixties) and about surrealist activity of different groups. For example referring the activity in USA, he only mentions until the "Dada, Surrealism and their heritage" exhibition on 1968. Being a recent work (as i said issued on 1996) i think would be very interesting if you could advise the author to be more informed about surrealist activity in your country, namely the more recent years, no? On the contrary we risk those books (even if interesting because can bring some useful information about Surrealism) can also contribute for the confusion we denounced here for many times and especially in more recent postings, i.e. that is purely an aesthetic movement, dated and already gone. carlos Hi all Mario phoned me yesterday and told me Eurico and himself they are preparing another book about surrealist activity in Portugal and they think to include the more recent members (namely from the seventies). So, soonest it will be published i will inform you. carlos
