Date: Thu, 20 Aug 1998 03:45:53 -0700 (PDT) From: Le Phasme <lephasme-AT-yahoo.com> Subject: --(yesterday)-- (This mail had to be sent yesterday, but my provider was unreachable...) ... Salut all ! The original text is always included (in order to move away all risk of misunderstandings), but now in the end of the message (because it doesn't seem to have a lot of french-speaking in this forum... Well... have you seen JJ Meric ???) Note for those who could have known me : a cure of this "repairing" sleep would rid you of useless memories. This silence, coming from me, didn't serve to choke an ashamed repudiation, on the contrary : it was necessary that I adjust some accounts to old varmints. Note for them and others: I observe studies of computer science (network specialization) in a school of engineers (situated in Belfort - in the East of France - and, since September, the prey of dark and teeming subversions) reputed for the narrow relations that it maintains with schools of engineers reputed for the quality of their formation... Nobody can conceive more agreeable alibi, even though it imposes an exhausting gymnastics. I sometimes drag rare friends in edifying games whose exits, unfortunately, often flee them. Point. No more exhibition. Internet, and therefore the web, is business of actualization, mediate, analytic, of a discreet and inert virtuality that, in its sterile fiber skein isolated of the world, doesn't contain anything that was not previously extrinsic to it ; that doesn't contain anything that has not been introduced in it knowingly by the against-nature way of a discretionary digitalization ; that doesn't contain anything that cannot avoid the spoiled criterias and intellectual mechanisms of the archaic devices that presided to its birth, the almighty techno-sciences and their infamous soups of stone dead concepts. Exoterisme, in a sense, in its more insane representation : a rosary of disgusting shop windows in prey to the greediest speculative packs, enjoying to finally confine our dangerous desires under the consumption of anesthetizing lures. Let's consider our intentions : there is there, fundamentally, a flagrant and impassable opposition. To the certain risk of appear atrociously expeditious (but it is here about retorting, nearly word to word, to the previous definition), I recall that our activity founds itself on the actualization, immediate, synthetic, analogical, of a continuous and crackling virtuality, inexhaustible and immanent, suited in this world, containing this one as much that this one contains it, weaving between the visible and the invisible, between our slender internal finalities and no-premeditated external causalities, an edifying occult network of correspondences of which we want to make the experience - aside from the public room - of the most rigorous and no-conditioned manner that can be, in full coincidence with our primordial desires and in order to free the man of the centennial ligatures, so much endogenous than exogenous, that are the ferments of all ruin ; in order to hit by inanity the mental baffles, and their physical counterparts, against which each enslaved of this vomitive society perpetually knocks himself as the more jammed of duplicate coasts machines. I never saw any mistletoe growing on a telegraphic post (nevertheless not a germ that can be blind enough to consume all its substance in this vain assembly). All implication of our part in this multimediatic circus (forever impervious, by its nature, to all "rational embellishment project") would be only misdirection and maintenance of a damaging ambiguousness, if it was only about to expose oneself complacently under uncertain looks and in obvious acceptance of a vector submitted to too many insurmountable occidental conditionings so that it cannot enjoy any kindliness coming from us (from what I could have seen, only Barrett offers in his site a real critical of this media) ; if it was only about reproducing in this artificial microcosm (that doesn't reflect nothing else that the "spectaculaire-marchand" macrocosm that corrodes us), revirtualizing in sum (there is there a dialectics that I cannot seize !), the erratic perfume of our distresses, as it is already done in part (such the dalinian rot maintained by Lynn Bry, enthusiastic internaut), and as certain would be maybe tempted to do at the sight of the new tools conceived to reinforce the conversational illusions. This is not that interactivity that we are looking for ! Today as yesterday, the end doesn't justify the means : what imports us the boldness of a sampan, if it lies frozen on the hollow of a glass bottle duly stamped by any multinational... Then: to be there, or not to be there ?... The problem doesn't express itself in these terms. First of all, it would be necessary to know if the advent of a real international synergism preoccupies you further than small customary coagulations around some excessively determined poles... Useless question. Let's close our web sites ! (It is a proposition...) Let's content us of presenting a kind of entrance door, unique, very narrow, austere and off-putting, hostile to all kinds of contemplation, which only offer some sneaky and dry documents in the darkness, and that would only open up to the favour of a strong gait susceptible to discourage tourists and fools, and that would not open up on nothing else that on this mailing list (it exists, seemingly, only one site approaching - from afar however - these dissuasive arrangements : the one of the Group of Leeds). Let's settle, definitively, the case of this famous fetidness that ferments in newsgroups (I would like to know who created it and who manages it). Finally, let's exploit this list of diffusion further, it remains a very convenient communication tool... Especially for those who, like me, are isolated and who don't have the possibility to travel a lot (physically). -- Sebastien (Note : LePhasme is a nickname provided by the hazard, and finally rich in relevant significances... But just call me Sebastien, or everything else...) J. Karl Bogartte wrote : > perhaps we should all speak and write as if in another language, on purpose, > perhaps inciting strange slips of the tongue, which are always disconcerting... Well... let me try... tomorrow ! Question inutile. =------------- LePhasme ----- ------- ---------------- --- _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
