Regarding your post on "positions to take on technology" might I
suggest, briefly, that you cast a glance toward a collection of
essay's on technoscience written by Donna Haraway titled "Simians,
Cyborgs and Women"  There are two essay's in particular that you might
find engaging: A Cyborg Manifesto, and Situated Knowledges.  Both of
these essays take the stance that one can neither take a radical
humanist position (e.g. the Project Mind fellow) nor reject technology
out of hand.  As such, her argument is quite intriguing, albeit
perhaps a bit awash in challenging, but enjoyable, language.
