I was asked where the rumor came from about NYNEX - it has been 
circulating around the New School, among people who should know. It does 
sound almost impossible to me - I don't know. The idea is that a SLIP or 
PPP connection would be offered gratis; the actual conneciton software 
would be up to the user.
