I'm out here. I've only joined a few days ago but I've noticed the same
thing. There's more going on in your average graveyard than on this
list.

I'm interested at the moment in virtual community and especially in the
discourse that surrounds it and supports it and comes out of it and ...
Why do so many virtual communitarians worry themselves to death by first
calling these 'groups' (for want of a more abstract, non-commital term)
'communities' and then swinging wildly between doubting that they are
'real' communities and believing that they are new and better (and
certainly 'real') communities that are going to emancipate us from
ideology. The death of ideology may have been prematurely announced in
the sixties; most may now accept that it's not dead at all; but the
virtual communitarians cannot but leap over the fence and back again and
back again and . . .

Why?
