Hi , Some words about language and technology and totalitarian technology, wich are from the same debate. Keachie has told us about the dreams as a way to escape from technology authority. So the question is : can we escape from technics ? 1 in the artistic expression the answer should be ; may be not, may be yes : A just technic artist cannot be an artist, he is a copist, a non-technic artist, as we can see in music, is just a basical technic one. A true artist, I think, is someone who is nit just technic, or someone who creates a technic. 2 are the dreams non technics ? I mean : can the dream be not structured as a language. Is not the dreamer an artist ? In the case he is, the dream is also strutured like a language this is : he operates forwarding a certain technic. With psychanalisis we can speak about a totalitarism of technics, because, the psychanalist shows to the patient that there is a technic manipulating him and his dreams. In the extreme case, in wich the psychanalyst applies an "interpretation of dreams" on the patient, he his also a dictator of the thought.
