Subject: Zimbabwe Women Ex-Combatants



I need some clarification if anyone can he*lp. I am writing a biography of
*Terai Ropa Nhongo* for a dictionary of Military women (greenwood press).
She was a ZANLA guerrilla fighter in the Zimbabwe liberation war, and then
became the first female Minister for Cooperatives and women's affairs in
the ZANU(PF) government in 1980.

But the name *Joice Mugari Nhongo* keeps coming up and I wonder if they are
the same person or two different people...
If any one can he*lp me on this I'd be very grateful.  Naturally the best
thing to do wouldbe to ask Terai Ropa herself, but I wont be in Zimbabwe
until May 1996, and I dont have her telephone number.
