I guess the quote before what i wrote didn't make it clear enough that 
i'm not assuming that the "subaltern" woman (in quotes:-)) has no access 
to technologynor am i making an assumption that she is or is not 
empowered by technology (whether or not she has access to internet, she 
most certainly is imbedded in the technosociety/technoculture - and uses 
and is used by the techno - whatevers ).

my question was only meant to start adiscussion that might talk about the 
various ways that "subaltern" (which is assumed to be, i agree, quite 
often "pure" and untouched by or not in some kind of control modern life and 
technology)

and no i did not take your response as confrontational:-) (and no i don't 
think i even need "Foucault" in trying to ask my question - just wanted 
to sound pretentious;-)?)
