Subject: just a suggestion...

Hi all,

I have a quick suggestion - that we attempt a reading of an article
related to the topic of non-western feminism.

once we've decided on an article and at least 1/2 a doz of us have access
to it, we could start discussing it.

Doing joint readings and discussing issues with people online has
certainly helped my thinking along - since I first began to interact on
the poco list etc. I think it's because we are isolated from people who
have somewhat similar ideas and experiences IRL - since we are all within
some mainstream dept or other trying "negotiate" our topics and space...

whatever the reason...

some of us may have more time than others to read and discuss, but others
may benefit just from lurking and thinking - that used to help a lot for
me when i was overwhelmed by coursework, but needed to think through or
unpack some issue or other....

so suggest away - let's have a reading?

and who knows we may even lead up to a collaboratively/cooperatively
produced document about non-western feminism?

thanks,
Radhika
