Some useful books:

Identity and Difference I need to get further cite, but it's produced
by a London Press and it's a gift to students--some very thoughtful
lecturers tried to make a book that would spell out the issues of
identity politics and the ideas of identity in difference using
narrative, newspaper clippings, current issues, lots of photos. . .

Knowing Women: Femnism and Knowledge Ed. Helen Crowley and Susan
Himmelweit. Articles by Audre Lorde, Cynthia Rich, Alison Jaggar, Susan
Bordo, McKinnon, Carol Vance, Chodorow, Rosalind Minsky, Razia Azia
(great article on how racism functions in discourse--I was able to use
this article to interrogate the claims being made in my class by white
students that there's no way to change history, so why are we studying
women in slavery.) Lata Mani, Sandra Harding and Elizabeth Grosz.

Cheers and good luck,
