Dear Partha,

You are rather misinformed, I hope naively.

1) I and our journal (Journal of South Asia Women Studies) are
left-oriented. In particular, I have worked as an activist for some 10
years in our extreme left in Italy. I am in the list of speakers. Do you
mean the Indian speakers? Should I feel that I am somehow excluded since
I am not Indian and I deal with an Indian problem?:)

2) I posted intentionally the announcement to you, not by chance. What
do you mean by that?

3) Nobody steals anything. There is a problem. Each of the people who
feel involved tries to help in some way or the other. The problem is too
big to fight among us on who should solve it. In the meantime, women are
killed.

(Pragmatic, as usual).
