Partha and Rinita,

The two-fold point I'm making is that there is no safe haven for
revolutionaries, and revolutionaries have no cause to be silent.  Many
of us share your sentiment for saving even one abused woman.  Academic,
government, and business are strongholds of the patriarchy and thus,
from my point of view, unable to create any change to better the odds
against abuse in patriarchal societies.  Hence, the need for those who
dare to change the status quo.
