Subject: Multiculturalism/Postcolonial


Hi,

I would like to hear people's thoughts on the differences between
multiculturalism and postcolonial. I'm currently on the job market and find
both terms common. My take is that multiculturalism/multicultural literature
presumes a less political, more "celebratory" approach that postcolonial
literature (and theory) which will be more decidedly political in situating
itself in relationship to (neo)colonialism.

Any thoughtts?
