Actually, to add to the already complicated situation, BJP has lost
assembly elections just the other day in the states of Rajasthan and Delhi
(Congress party has taken over these states). But that doesn't change the
equation at all. The real equation is:

Social and religious conservatism + Oppressors + Power brokers + Big money
= Hegemony and oppression and brutality such as bride burning.
