The goal of this selection will be to showcase the work of women of Color and illuminate the intersection of their activism and scholarly endeavors. In exploring the intersection of the work of women of color, this forum seeks to draw attention to the ways in which the scholarly and activist work of these women continues to fulfill the dual goal of achieving/promoting academic excellence and enhancing community life. Paper submissions which link feminist scholarship, activism and interdisciplinary work are especially encouraged. Tentative publication date: spring, 2001. All submissions are subject to the guidelines and blind review process of NWSA Journal. Send three double-spaced copies of your manuscript (20-25 pages), with parenthetical citations and a complete references page formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style (14th edition) to: Dr. Pat Washington, Department of Women's Studies, San Diego State University, 5500 Campanile Drive, San Diego, CA 92182-8138. Negotiations are also underway to develop an edited volume address issues of women of color throughout the Diaspora. Paper submissions will be considered for both the proposed edited volume and for the Forum section of the NWSA Journal.
